Google documents are documents you can create and share once you have a gmail account.
After you have a gmail account go to documents, click new, and begin creating documents to share with others. When you are ready to share click on the save and share button and type the addresses of those you want to share your document with. They will be able to view your documents and make additions, corrections, etc. When you open your document back up you will see the changes. You and those you have shared your document with can work on the document at the same time. This is true collaboration. It is harnessing collective intelligence
Google Presentation
Google Presentation is just like PowerPoint but you can send your presentation to the gmail account of your friends and collegues and you can collaborate to make it that much better. You can also work on a Google Presentation with your students. Open a Google Presentation and name it accordingly. Then copy the link and post to a wiki or your website. Your students will be able to work together on the same Google Presentation.
Google Forms
This is a place to make surveys, quizzes, or tests that you can use in your classroom and share with your colleagues. The answers to your surveys and tests are put right into a spreadsheet that you can use to read, score, and compare the responses. Google Forms can take the place of your weekly reading test, LA quizzes, etc. You can quickly see in a glance the questions your students are having difficulty with. You can then remediate as necessary.
If you want to share the forms and/or use them with your class you need to make a copy by going to: File, "make a copy", and then use your copy to have your students take the test.
